T.A.K.E. Defense Program to come to GC
Self-defense training to come to Garden City in April 2010
Ali Kemp was only 19 years old when she was brutally murdered while working at a neighborhood pool in Johnson County, KS. Ali's family established T.A.K.E. Defense in 2004 in partnership with Johnson County Parks and Rec. Since then, over 20,000 girls and women ages 12 and older have been trained with free hands-on self-defense training. The T.A.K.E. Defense Program will travel to Garden City in April 2010, and SRC encourages every woman and girl to participate in this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
